Jewelers are scholars, they don't need more things to make.. and you left out tailors and woodworkers.

As far as MC, few people used them as full sets post 100, but they were worthwhile fillers while looking for a heroic piece for this or that slot. They were generally between solo and good heroic gear.
I'm not asking, or expecting, that people will want to wear a full set of MC gear.
I AM expecting that it's at least better than solo gear. If not, by the time people (aside from those with 10s or 100s of millions of plat to burn) have acquired the recipes and rares, it's not even worth making for alts to run sig lines.
In my opinion, none of the options you listed (aside from 4, if it's MC fabled) make MC gear worth the time and effort.
This expac, making it so MC gear can't even be crushed into adorning or salvaging mats was salt poured into a seeping chest wound.

For the first expac I can think of, there is absolutely zero incentive for me to go out and harvest. And I generally LIKE harvesting.

Option 2 is exactly what you're asking for, the odd piece to bridge the gap between Solo and heroic. Would you be down on some stats? Sure, but you'd have the key one, resolve.

Option 3 would be used, as we've seen in the past. Sure you'll get some idiots who want to run full 0 stamina gear, but min/maxers would also use it when they could, making it worthwhile.

I still think you could get rid of the whole tier of MC'ed gear and give the crafters who make those items something different. You remove a whole layer of itemisation that may even allow DPG to properly itemise solo/heroic/raid normally.

They couldn't properly itemize this game if their life depended on it, they have proved it over and over.

Not where you need to run instances to get the mats to make them. The devs have historically been so stingy with those bits as to make them mostly useless.. the old 'by the time you get the mats to make the items, the items they make are useless'.

TLE is plenty of proof that they don't understand the importance of proper itemization. We can argue about the right way to itemize things all day, it doesn't matter if the devs don't think it's important in the first place.

Check out the page views on the pod transcripts. A huge drop off from the first to the others. I had chalked that up to DW locking those threads, but pod-5 is still unlocked.

Could it be that people have grown tired if being spoken to as if their stupid?

Trolls + the passive-empowerment of Burrito = deletion of OF bookmark and history. Why waste my time - as grandpappy used to say, "Ya can't fix stupid, you can't teach those that won't take the blinders off, and you go to jail if you kill ignorant ****sticks!"

Aaaaaand suddenly, without any warning in the patch notes, overseer agents awarded by mission crates are No-Trade AND No Value

Mind you, these are brand new 'season 2' minions.. so it's not like it's just the ones people can get in their claim window...
And considering that ALL the minions that can be claimed CANNOT be turned in for the 'new' currency...

Given all the bugs that don't get fixed, I really have to wonder at the things they take the time to change..

This Overseer agent system is one of the shittiest implementations of any game mechanic I have experienced. You can't do anything with the multitude of duplicate agents with traits. You can convert the useless, no trait agents into a currency that you will never acquire enough of, in time, to purchase anything worth while. Now you can't hand down useful agents to alts. Every one of my 9 characters has every agent available in season 1. I only use 2, rarely 3, of those characters to run missions. I have yet to get a yellow mission in season 2. Why am I getting new, no trait agents? There's no use for them. Time and resources were spent making this garbage. I've gotten one agent in season 2 with a new trait. There are still 2 to 3 traits that can't be countered. The system in EQ1, as far as agents are concerned, is so much better. You convert three common into the uncommon, three uncommon into rare, etc..

    **** is wack yo.

    Episode 6

    SET- Boni for TLE
Kander said that Set Boni were always difficult to implement for Content /Time reasons. He said that the Class Set Boni have gone into Character Progression.
Looking back when they stopped Set Boni is when the Stat Inflation /Power began. They should have had a Designer for those Set Boni instead. (Kander)

Avatars (TLE) - As only one Guild has them under lockdown Kander doesn't feel that more Avatars are needed and Time is somewhere else better spent.

Arena - Kander mentioned that the Arena in Maj'Dul are not as good as player think. The player number using the Arena aren't /weren't high enough to put more time into.

Kander sold his "Baby", the Overseer Mission, as the solution to the time consuming design for Questline.
I am tired of hearing this Bullocks .....

But he mentioned they hired a new guy to help Kaitheel.

Interestingly the next GU is dated for August, meaning no traditional Midyear content (like last year).

Kander is open to the idea to share working systems from EQ and putting them into EQ2.

Kander is open to ideas /suggestions for new GH Amenities. Contact him via Discord /OF.

I can't read any of these summaries without imagining Kander talking in the third person.

Like pretty much every contested for years.

    Finally a common sense statement.

I wish the EQ2 team had an overseer that told them to stop doing ****.

Overseers replacing questline, but hire new guy to help questlines?

Only if he can take it, make it horrific and claim its a miracle solution.

"We hate guild halls, they ruined EQ2, but if you want us to make them even more useful, just say!"

This is DPG, they’re looking for what people want most so they can find a way to monetize it. The new guild hall feature will require 1,000 magic tickets you can buy for 1000DBC each and “work together” to achieve.

I still can't even pretend to understand how anybody could think that overseer missions equate, in anyway, to actual quests....
There isn't even the OPPORTUNITY for player engagement in overseer quests. Heck, there is barely even any player interaction. There certainly isn't any CHARACTER interaction.

With the 10 missions per day per account as well.. if there are no 'real' questlines, how are we even suppose to level mains, let alone alts?
The 'I can't even' is so profound on so many levels....

The EQ1 Overseer system is vastly different, of course since the games are. You can have multiples of the same overseer, you can trade 3 in of one tier to get 1 of the next tier through a 5 second, no fail mission. The rewards offer various items based on type of mission. You can get Merc AA exp, Overseer currency, collection pieces, weapon/armor ornamentations which change the look of the weapon, foraged/dropped crafting mats if it's a harvesting/crafting mission, or player experience. All volumes of each reward are based on the length and difficulty of the mission. There's no "limit" on how many you can run but the shortest mission is 6 hours and go as long as 48. The only real stop gap is you have a set number of missions you can run and that resets every 12 hours.

This is, of course, set up for a pay to win/progress system and it's honestly the 1st time that there has been a blatant cash grab in the cash shop for EQ1. It is also quite affordable, relatively speaking. I can run through an entire list of missions, 20ish, and instantly complete them for around 100-120 DBC which is a buck, give or take 25 cents.

It didn't replace questing in anyway and for the 1st time I feel like there are far more "quests" available in 1 than 2. Granted the game itself is far harder for the solo player in 1 and a lot of those quests would be considered heroic in 2.

No mention of census, no peep about healing or the heal caps that have been unchanged for 3 expacs...
