I was surprised by that, they ballwashed EQ2 pretty hard in the past.
Meh, I've had more than my share of threads and posts deleted on the official forums. I'm ThatGuy over there. I have actually come to miss the SOE days, D-BaG has made even Smokehumper look good.
Edit: I was glad to see Feldon posting again over there, wondering how long before D-BaG names him Enemy Number 1 again.
It's been my opinion for years that the forums for a game can give you a good indication of the game's health. If so then imo EQ2 is FUBAR at this point. Given how ridiculous some of the regulars are there I expect it's only a matter of time before some of us are being blamed for the 'sunsetting' of the game.
Already got warned for trolling.
You still got it!
I'm eagerly awaiting the inevitable claims that negativity on the OF, here, and elsewhere are what killed the game so I have the opportunity to reconcile the Bubble Gnome position that the game is doing fine, and the forums are a poor indicator of the health of the game, because only 1% of the population actually visits them.
CD has a cloak that can drop (rare drop) that you upgrade for currency. On IoR, that dropped cloak can be traded, you buy upgrade and then trade the original cloak on, allowing as many upgrades as can be afforded.
In todays patch notes, they made it so you can no longer equip the upgraded cloak, unless you actually looted the dropped one in the first place.
Lots of people have transfered to IoR, picked up cloak for mains + alts, and transfered back. They now have a cloak they are unable to equip.
That is just... beautiful.
Anyone else see this one?
Come Get Your Loot!!
I didn't mind that one if I'm honest. None of it is really P2Win, but allows people who haven't previously bought a collectors edition to get some of the loot from past 2 expacs.
I know a few people who don't really use their DBG, and took the chance to buy 1 of the sets
Is that "Legends 5 bedroom home" the one that was in the Qeynos/FP mages tower? Because I've been after that damn thing for years...
And children aren't allowed on the casino floor, much less to gamble.
This makes me so glad I'm playing LOTRO and enjoying Yule Fest instead.
I doubt some 70 ex-(or soon to be ex) employees are enjoying Christmas right now... Scrooge put a lump of coal in their stocking this year!
I'm doing the same in ESO. New Life festival time. I've gotten a skin that makes me look like I'm made of ice (not that I'll probably use it. BUT I HAVE IT). A fur lined hood, several mementos that let me do things like throw mudballs, swallow a sword or juggle fire.
Oh. And a new armor style. Plus a myyyyyystery present every day. Anything could be in the box! It could even be a boat! (for real, it could be houses or mounts. really rare, but free. so)
Dammit. They know where to hit a lizard where he's vulnerable...
Just in case anyone doubted the veracity of this thread's title. I'll just leave this here...

Those mounts were available for purchase with dungeon tokens. A lot of folks that did the dungeons for fun or leveling might still have a few hundred thousand of those tokens laying around. Not me of course. I never hoard tokens. Or items. YOU CAN'T PROVE ANYTHING.
In any case, when they nuked the dungeon finder, they left the store tab for folks to still spend their tokens. I think it was some time this past year, they removed the dungeon store tab, with no explanation or reason.
Now they're selling the mount for 20$.
So, they took a mount that used to be acquired free through gameplay and now they're charging $20 for it. They could've at least changed the color, I mean it can't be that difficult.
That mount was just a recolor of the Freeport / Neriak mounts anyway.
