As others have pointed out, I regularly post here.
I refused to take any of your bait and give you the blow up or attack you seem to desire.
I have no interest in epeen contests or exchanges of insults.

If you are interested in a reasoned discussion based on information about current mechanics, stats, and the state of things on live and beta I am more then willing to do so. Beyond that? *shrug* I'll leave you to entertain yourself.

I have to point out the lie here as the discord is an IP ban, as one who IS banned because of a joke, You have to make a new account AND use a VPN or change your IP another way. I guess I just "ethered you????" To me that is like saying my Radio Shack TRS80 beats out your Atari 8600...........

Also while I am here, I refuse to even go to the OF, but does it seem that Coercers are getting any changes at all this expansion? I would think about dipping my toes back in, if I could use my coercer again.

Discord isn't always an IP ban.

My account was banned (For asking if reformed NPU still had a dev spot open), but I can still access via another account.

    Looks like some class changes today at least;

    • Players will now receive an increase to Hit Points as they level from 101 to 110.
    • Rangers Nerfed
    • Ascensions partially nerfed (At least Combos)
    • Bunch of CB added.

    OMG, she's yelling now...

The disturbing deterioration of her emotional stability continues.

I fear the time has come to become cautious.

She has appointed herself as the resident expert and moral conscious of the game and forums, and therefore, has become a legend in her own mind.

If you mean who I think you mean that is lol :p.

    Who, Mermut?

Nah. This beta has not been good for her. She's falling off the deep end, getting all emotional and what not.

Woe, I say unto you. Woe! These are dark, dark days...

I watched videos of people flying through some of the new zones and I will say that the zone art looks great. Far better than KA in my opinion, the areas seem much more narrow in scope which I think is good because the team can't do giant Kunark-sized zones anymore and they shouldn't try to.

The art almost looks nice enough for me to want to buy the expansion just to explore the zones, and I would if I thought the rest of the game didn't suck.

One of my biggest issues are that despite a post in litteraly every beta sub forum there has been zero replies from developers about class balance.

As a raider in all the MMOs I have played, its really concerning to me that they cant answer yes to balancing classes. IMO thats one of the most important aspects of a MMO raiding game, and yes, eq2 is still mainly a raiding MMO. There just isnt and has never been enough content outside of raiding in this game. It takes a month or two for most to be done and then they release 1 or 2 content patches that can be done in a few weeks every year, unless its some retarded currency grind.

CB seems to be a big deal again.

    Guessing:

    1. RNG can easily be manipulated.

    2. Potency and Fervor effect base values = bloat.

    3. People will spend a crap load of real money for cb overcap.

    4. Resolve mitigates all.

    IOW:

    1. Stop the base value bloat.
    2. Lean into hidden mechanics
    3. $

Yeah, that seems about the size of it.

By the way, about class balance? What they've done is WORSE than ignoring it: They're actively making things worse.

CB overcap isn't as useful.. because we lost the conversion to cb from our prestige.. and they've removed cb from weapons and reduced it on much jewelry.
Getting TO the -base- cb cap is hard enough right now.

I was taking a break when they introduced potency, and I assume it was intended to offer a progression path independent of level cap increases. Made sense in that context.

And then then they started adding all these modifiers ontop of it. That never made any sense to me.

Same thing with melee related damage.

Then came crit mit, resolve, hard caps....over caps.....

I am curious to know if any crit enhacements will be found at the end of any grind hurdles.

It would seem based on what you have observed about cb enhancements found in game, dbg is shooting themselves in the foot cash shop wise.

And we know they're is no way they're gonna do that. So, where is the goose that lays the golden egg?

    Just research?

To me they are making bank on Krono's right now, there are people out there with tons of Plat with really nothing to do with it. Someone can drop 15 bucks and sell one for what 1 or 2 million plat? If the krono market ever fell out, it really would be the end of the game. But that I believe why they are making the some of the decisions they are making.

As long as the almighty Krono can be bought so cheap and xfered for plat in game. This game will hold out and the devs will continue on the way they have

I've seen people say some variation of, "I'm not paying them any money, I'm playing for free by buying kronos" too many times in the last few years. No, you aren't playing for free. You're letting someone else buy your way for you and helping them get rich in game in the process. The company is still making money off of what you do.

IF that realization could be hammered through the thick skulls of some people maybe they'd stop participating in the system.

Well, if they realized what they were doing and had enough integrity to do something about it...

So maybe 5 people would stop.

The big question is what are people doing that they NEED to buy plat for real life money (aka krono).

I've used Kronos for everything for years. I'm not spending my own money on the game, if someone else wants to then fair enough.

People sell them to make plat for all sorts, infusing gear, new items on NPCs, loot auctions etc.

With the prices DBG have been putting on items lately, it's easy for someone who lacks a lot of play time, or solely raids, to make money. Some find it easier to drop $15 on a Krono a month, rather than spend a bunch of hours farming.

It's not gone unnoticed that the prices of items in game etc. keep going up. Look at NPC merchant prices, and you'll see the plat creep is quite deliberate by DBG.

Not to mention broker prices. I haven't bought a single master all expansion because of it--I once would buy and sell Krono occasionally, but I stopped, so my plat flow is slowly negative. Never mind any sort of upgrades for Ascensions. I guess we know why they don't do much about the products of plat duping.
