Would it be possible to get a Locked phase on the server status? (for EQ1, im sure other games are like that too), When servers are "up" but "locked" they only come back as Low Pop, it would be more helpful to show the Locked state instead however

"locked" is already one of the status codes.  The possible values for status are:

    • low
    • medium
    • high
    • locked
    • missing
Now whether or not all the game servers are properly reporting the "locked" status to the REST API servers is a different story.  It gets weird sometimes.  :)

Never seen a missing one, but the Locked one hasn't ever reported for atleast the last like 3 months or so (that I've been tracking atleast <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />)

I haven't really paid much attention to the EQ1 status myself.  I mainly deal with EQ2.

I've seen all the status codes in the 11 months or so I've been looking at them for EQ2 but then again, I see them VERY frequently.  They don't always mirror reality but they're pretty close most of the time.

I wrote a server status widget that we use on the side of EQ2Wire and on my own guild website.  Here's an article I wrote about it back when I first created it.  Might be of some use, who knows.  :)
