oddness in spell_list

    I am seeing something odd in the spell_list array.  An example of this is census.daybreakgames.com/jml/get/eq2/cha...show=spell_list  where there is an empty hash in what is otherwise a simple integer array.

    Since this hash is empty, I'm just (currently) ignoring it, but it does seem odd that it is there...

    Yeah...that is odd.  I've asked the game team to check for this condition so that it doesn't get sent to us this way.

    Could this be caused by spells and dungeon items that are part of GU63 that haven't been exported yet?

    Just guessing.  :)

    I don't think so, but I'm not certain.

    If it were that, I think the ID would refer to an item that didn't exist rather than an empty value.  I currently think it is more of a bug then anything else.

    ... and a rather odd bug, indeed!

    This is one danger of not having a schema of any type to validate with.  I suspect had you a check to say "spell_list is a list of integers only" you'd have caught this one early.

    I know, preaching to the chior.
