From time to time, I have been providing feedback on how many of you have joined this forum.  It is a useful metric to show the impact of the API and its usefulness.  Yeah...kind of self-serving to us, but it is also a testament to the community that you have helped to build.

This morning, the number of people flagged for this forum has reached 73!

Remember when we were 41....and when we were 21?

Keep it up!  You are a force for good within SOE and critical for its next stage of success!

Speaking of momentum and since you're throwing a stat or two around, let me show you what you've allowed to happen over on EQ2U:

Registered Users: 2,644Unique Items Looked Up: 127,563Unique Characters Looked Up: 134,465Unique Guilds Looked Up: 11,684Characters Being Followed: 18,041

Keep in mind that you can look up characters, guilds, items, etc. without actually registering.  So that 2,644 are just those that took the time to register, not how many people hit the site.  We're averaging over 4,200 visits a day (visits, not hits).

Unique Characters and Guilds looked up means someone actually looked at the full blown detail page for the characters and guilds.

As of this message there are currently 903,888 characters and 59,932 guilds in the REST API.  That means that basically 1 out of every 7 characters and 1 out of every 5 guilds that are in the REST API have been looked up on EQ2U.

When Feldon and I first started talking back in September about putting something together with the forthcoming data feeds, we had no idea we would get something anywhere close to what we got.  The amount of traffic we are seeing at EQ2U is a testament to the phenomenal job that you guys have done with the REST API.

    Very well done.  :)
