Items information in the feed isn't up to date

    Hello,

    After last GU:

    • some items changed name
    • some items were added to EQ
    • some items changed stats
SOE data feed seems to have outdated information (for instance missing items - some Dozekar chests are examples)

Do you plan to update it, so we could get accurate items information?

    Regards,

    Andrzej

I'm curious, can you give specific examples?

I am starting to worry that the data feed project has gone downhill recently...

I think Feldon (u.eq2wire) could give you tons of examples - afaik he is tracking items with missing info (I think I saw such message on unrecognized items).

Also, items names changed (for example: breaches -> breeches). SOE feed didnt recognize items with a new name (Storm Dragonlinked Breeches).

BTW, I checked it (breeches) now, and <span style="text-decoration: underline;">SOE feed seems to work fine (link). Later I will check chests and other items.

The full item export runs periodically to catch any changes.  sometimes it will lag behind a GU by a few days I will look into making it more frequent if possible.

I hope if there are no changes, the last_updated value doesn't change?  Otherwise I'll end up fetching the whole DB on each bulk update on your end.

last_updated should change with every update to a record.  So you would be pulling the whole DB each time - which is one reason why we don't recommend you pull the whole DB.

    Most recent problem with items:

    - Cardinal Time Etched Chain Shoulders - ST x4 cleric shoulders - no such item

    That's a good example.

Whenever a character is wearing an item that does not exist, we trap for that on EQ2U and receive an error report on it. If items stay missing for more than a few days, we send an e-mail.
