Is anyone still working on Census?

I noticed many if not all of the new items that came with today's update are missing data. Is this project completely dead for now?

 

It's not dead, but for EQ2, as with any game, it has to fit within the schedule of time that is available.

Ok I just ran our diagnostic report and I see 222 items which are missing from Census. That's a very high number. Usually this number is in the 20's or 30's. I will report the missing items to Zoltaroth.

Also not sure if you were including the Age of Discovery expansion parts, but those are missing because they're items which are never looted in game, thus they've never been 'discovered'. I'm not sure the solution to this problem. On EQ2U, I have a hard-coded list of items that I manually substitute a name for the item which is otherwise not in Census.

 

Well I haven't talked to Nandy yet, but looks like at least a few got through.

Yesterday I had a Missing Item count of 243. Today I re-ran it and it's 72. Normal is around 20 (most of these are BG items that no longer exist or removed items on Test characters).

 

All of the new Player Studio items added this week and last week are missing, along with the Grotto arch pieces. Oddly, most of them are in the Marketplace data, but that doesn't have the item data.

 

I think some of these items are the Djinn Master Prism items that were upgraded. I think some people are holding on to some of the older pieces and not trading them in for the new ones. I'll get some specifics later but I'm pretty sure they are all included in Feldon's diagnostic run.

 

And now we're back up to 225 items which are equipped but missing.

Does that include the wonky Marketplace items and bundles from the recent NOTD updates? Some of them are not only missing from the item data, but also in the marketplace data.

 

Also, while not equippable items, there is still furniture missing from Player Studio (two older items) Tinkerfest and the Cobalt Scar GU, and after. I can provide a list if needed.

 

I've got all these.

I got the Tinkerfest vol 5 recipes (something like 17 out of the 26 items in the recipe book are not in Census), the 2 Player Studio items, and The Hand of the Maker. Of course what I'd like to have done is figure out why these items aren't being completely exported, or are exporting without discovery data.

 

That's most of it - the two PS items are Cathedra of the Dead and Dark Wizard's Table.

Ok a re-export of items was done, which has fixed the Marketplace NoTD items, as well as about 150 equipped items (most from Djinn Master's Prism).

Still asking about the Tinkered vol 5 recipes, Cobalt Scar recipes, those 3 Player Studio items (the Autowagon has a fudged item id), and the others you mentioned.

 

The NOTD stuff is fixed... but the grotto Marketplace items aren't. They were added to the game on 2 October. All of them seem to be in the Marketplace data, but they're not in the item data. Oddly, the bundles for these (Grotto Columns Bundle and Sea Plants Bundle) are there.

A fix has been checked in which should force the publication of many (if not all) of the items listed above as Missing. It is supposed to go in next Tuesday with the Tears of Veeshan push.

Also, the team are working to ensure that we have updated Alternate Advancement data and Spell data for the expansion including the Channeler class. No word on whether Gems on items will be supported on day one.

 

Will the house-lore and building-block tags be going in?

 

I can ask, but we do not have a dedicated Census person at this point and may not until after EQNL launches. :|

 

Both of these are in there, although they're in the section with the other house placement information instead of the flags. Not all of the building-block data showed up on Tuesday, but it appears to be there now.

All of the ToV is also there (although, like the building-block data, took a day or two to show up, even items that were discovered very quickly, like the crafted furniture), except for the Ethernere Resonant Sphere (3012578035), which is missing. Violet Vesspyr Bloom (1818284060) is also missing, but I think this was removed in beta and didn't get added back. Another missing item is Memories of the Altar of Four Canons, a collectible.

I'm still looking through the things that were missing from earlier, but most of it appears to be there. Whatever they did to fix it, keep doing that.
