So I was playing with the API and on one of my Characters and I noticed when I mentor down the API pulls that information not the information at my max level. This is not just my stats but my armor and everything. Is this functioning as Normal?

Yes. What would be nice to have is a data value stating that someone is mentored so we can blue out their stats. But I believe it's a hidden buff and those are hard to get exported. I'd also like to get LFG and LFW flags.

Assuming nothing goes wrong ( ;) ), tomorrow will see some major new data. ;)

Can I just say layoffs suck?

For the last 2 months, the EQ2 team has had a contracted apprentice working on Census. He fixed the Reforging/Spiritstone bug, added Character Achievement Templates, and also added Refining data. He also had gotten Zones/Treasure/NPCs mostly working. Finally, he has been working on Quest, Recipe, and Collection data. There are two parts to this data:
    • "Static" data: Details for every non-hidden Quest, Recipe, and Collection in the game.
    • "Dynamic" data: Active Quests (Quest Journal), Completed Quests, and Collections for each character.
In Wednesday's patch, we got the "dynamic" data. You can find this in /character_misc/. However we did not get the "static" data of /quest/, /recipe/, or /collection/ and the problem could not be remedied before the layoff hammer fell.

So as you look at character_misc, you may be wondering why there are no quest, collection, or recipe names, and only the barest of details. There are some very good reason for /character_misc/ to be so lightweight:
    1. The typical EQ2 character record in Census is 90-120kb.
    2. Even in the current minimal format, Character_misc for the typical character is anywhere from 160kb to 300kb depending on how many quests or recipes are completed/known on a character.
    3. If Character_misc stored the full quest and recipe details for each character, it could easily be 5-10MB per character.
    4. As I was consulting on the data formats, I had a concern that some Census developers out there might be using c:hide instead of c:show. Sites that are written in this manner would experience significant degradation with all this extra data.
    5. Any site wanting to use quests, recipes, and collections will likely store locally cached versions of all this data anyway.
So at this point, we are sitting with all this data 95-97% done. Assuming there are no major bugs, I'm cautiously optimistic that the switch can get flipped and this data will start flowing to the Census server in the next few weeks. But it's hard to say right now.

If you're curious, there are 11,412 non-hidden quests and 738 shiny collections. I'm not certain on the recipes, zones, npcs, treasureclasses, etc..

Is there a way to get a list of all available collections in the game? Trying to get one after ToV.

Alas the Collection data never went live.
