I noticed a new field on items, individual_drop.  What is this for, please?

<span style="text-decoration: line-through;">I tried to search against it with no joy:

Just through browsing, I found some that have the value set "true":

<span style="text-decoration: line-through;">Update: For some reason, there is some hidden character in the field values, but these searches work:

Looks like there are 278 items with individual_drop set to true.

Pretty sure it's a boolean value being stored as text.  It shows up as individual_drop="false" instead of individual_drop=false.

So when you query on it, the query engine is comparing it as a boolean and not finding a match.  Hopefully they can convert the data over to an actual boolean value.

I didn't know exactly what was causing the problem. Using ^true and ^false turned it into a string search which inadvertently worked around the problem. ;)

I looked a little deeper.  It looks like they used 0 and 1 for most of their other boolean values.  Hopefully they'll convert this one over to 0 and 1 as well.

The data now shows individual_drop="0" or individual_drop="1" and can now be queried by using individual_drop=1 or individual_drop=0.  Looks like it's been brought in line with most of the other boolean values in the data.

Typical programmers, they never actually answered the question <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

This flag means when it drops, each person gets one, in a separate window and they are not rolled/assigned.

This is most evident in the Chains of Eternity currencies such as obols, spirits, and essences where this was changed after launch

But also applies to older looted currencies such as void shards, and the white/blue shards from DoV. You usually saw this when opening a "plat/shard" chest in an instance.
