I've been working on stat and gear analysis for my site and I've run into what I believe is a data issue.  It seems AA abilities listed in the spells collection do not have their proper damage/healing/threat/whatever.

Example, Dragoon Spin (rank 4)

This shows a base damage of 3 - 5 to targets in the area of effect.

My in-game character combat art tooltip (which does include potency and strength bonuses) shows 2842 - 4445 damage to targets in the area of effect.

My strength damage bonus in game is 117%, potency in game is 265.4%, and ability mod is 1284

calculated max damage = base max damage * (1 + (Stat Bonus/100)) * (1 + (Potency/100)) + (Max Ability Mod, which is the lesser of Ability Mod and the prior part of this calc divided by 2 [or 3 if it's AoE])

~52 = 5 * 2.17 * 3.654 + ((5 * 2.17 * 3.654) / 3)

~52 = 39 + 13

I'm fairly certain the damages listed for AA abilities are not correct.  All the non-AA abilities have the formula's come out fairly close to what they are in-game.  And to check, the values of all the different tier's of the above spell are barely different in damage according to Census..  Any thought on how this could be corrected and refreshed for spell data?

wow, the deeper I delve the more I find...

Looks like the spell collection is missing a bit more info then I thought:

• range
• resistability
• target (likely determinable thru various combos, but not well)
• spell type? (red single target, green encounter, blue aoe, purple group buff, self, group/raid friend)
yes, I know there is a type and typeid but these are strictly for defining type as in spell, combat art, tradeskill, etc ().  I'm fairly certain there is a bit of manual labor in what eq2wire is currently showing for spells.   I think besides them, I may be the first to really hammer the spell data.

I'll note that I'd LOVE attributes of spell damage and such for each effect line, a flag to define is ability mod is applicable, and what percentage of the damage/heal/whatever does the ability mod cap at (most spells it's 50%, Enc/AoE is 33%, and some specific ones are unique.. (Dark Siphoning [] is a unique case example)

more testing,

I stripped a toon bare of gear, aa's, and buffs.  The spell damage values are still off.  My adept Bash VIII is showing 327-545 (i still had +str from food buff, a 13.05% dmg bonus) which is way below the Census listing for that spell tier and rank (census.daybreakgames.com/jml/get/eq2/spell/?name_lower=bash%20viii&tier=5)

The apprentice version seemed more inline what what I'd expect (census.daybreakgames.com/jml/get/eq2/spell/?name_lower=bash%20viii&tier=1)... However, my spellbook is showing Adept
