What happened to intellectual honesty?

All I did was imply keeping Longsdale at the helm was a bad thing, and Dreamweaver deleted it! The nerve.

 

No boss likes being told that they are doing bad, for they are all legends in their own mind!

Well, to be fair, and as we all now know, since Longdale took over and started breaking all the rules, they're growing again.

Still waiting for the OP to deliver some of that "intellectual honesty"... so far he/she has shown none of it.

 

He's not a dev alt as far as could be determined when he first showed up a few years back.

He's part of the Dannni, Breanna, ummmmyeh, guy-that-starts with a V cheerleading squad and is strongly suspected of being one of many sock accounts.

I would like it noted for posterity that I did NOT call him a liar or a retard, despite all his finger pointing, name calling and blaming me for his failure.

You forgot to add two names to that list: Raff and Dude . Although, I guess they are more with the white knight elite faction. Forgive my blunder there .

 

I actually don't like to call people out, but some of them deserve recognition lol .

 

I haven't read the OF in quite some time, but Dude is okay in my book. Where I got some of my kronos from. So a friendly shout out to Dude! Thanks! Even if im not using them, I still appreciate them!

 

I don't know him personally, but I mentioned him because he tends to be white knightish at times when posters give feedback he doesn't approve of, even if they are following the forum guidelines.

 

I get that. I defend the game, in some aspects, like crazy. I also call a spade a spade and this **** they put out for BoL is almost as bad as GoD was for EQ1. I'm still having fun and playing every day but I get in where I fit in and this just happened to be the expac I wanted to actually do group content in and with itemization like it is that's doubtful to happen with me missing PoP and CD.

 

Many people's view of the game is very narrowly focused and many times not in touch with the reality of the many problems that exist.

That is because they play with a set close knit group of friends or a very tight knit guild. Therefore, they have a level of support, i.e. guaranteed pugs etc. that the vast majority of players don't.

Also, they have been playing steadily over the years and therefore know how to navigate and get around the games many changes. New and returning players don't have that same knowledge.

So when they comment many times, it is from within a vacuum of sorts and they tend to diminish peoples concerns because it is not their personal experience.

 

I appreciate and respect your comment and I have no problem at all with people defending the game as a whole or certain aspects of it as long as they are being factual.

I guess my main beef is with defenders who resort to trying to stifle view points that don't match there own by either becoming openly or passively aggressive in the process. We have seen way to much of the later on the official forums which is why many of us don't post there any more or very infrequently.

I don't wish any ill will towards any player past or present. The same goes for the DBG EQ/EQ2 teams.
