Intentional trolling on forums

Nothing new but as of later I have seen the old white knights and some new jump up and down on posts which had legitimate scope for discussion and developer input. I am glad that I found the ignore button on the forums and have added the usual suspects along with a few new ones to the list. I actually do not see their post when I am logged on so its a relief to see other posts who have something constructive to add.

I am not sure that these people are just dense or there is some foul play active as in developers masquerading as players trying to derail threads on purpose.

I had to put this here, because I think that's probably the most unintentionally honest thing I've ever seen Raff say. Do you think he read the question he answered? Or just responded to his own quote?

I promise I know when someone is replying to Benny whether I can see his post or not.

 

I don't want to attribute an intention that isn't there. But if Dreamweaver is suggesting that everyone just ignore Benito, that would mean he (Benito) gets to spew his bullshit unchecked.

That doesn't seem fair since, you know, Benito is the problem.

I un-ignored Benito just so I could report him. Not long after that Dreamweaver closed the thread.
I'm guessing a number of people have reported him and he's close to being banned. Or maybe that's wishful thinking.

He sure does spew some total bs. He's back on ignore now where he belongs, people need to stop giving him their time, he's nothing short of pond scum. Oh, I mean that in the nicest possible way.

His moderator-baiting posts were deleted. There is still one toward the end there that got edited and sanitized at some point.

I haven't a received any kind of warning. I'd be surprised if Benny didn't get one for the moderator bait and the name targeting.

But who knows. Dreamweaver seems to be going the extra mile to keep a light touch.

Dreamweaver seems content to let folks have their say, but it appears he doesn't want folks arguing with each other, and he's clamping down a little on derailing.

This is going to provide a nice little safe zone for bubble gnomes in general. Bubble gnome trolls like Benny are going be beside themselves with frustration.

 

I've seen that 'omnomnom' whatever account logged in here when things were slow. I assume that is his account and he's reading all the things.
