Will Daybreak games shut down in 2 months?

Yeah that's how I feel too. Every time I think about playing again I remember that the game I can play today isn't the same game that I have all those fond memories of. That game has been gone for a long time.

I still wish I quit EQ2 as soon as SOE turned into Daybreak. In hindsight its kind of obvious all the **** that followed would happen, but at the time I was more like "maybe it will only get a little worse"

I think overall they will still exist, but between this and the layoffs, their entire stable of games are going to be taking an aggressive dip in their already poor quality. Of course they are going to say "everything is fine and will be exactly the same" until they announce otherwise.

Sometimes I think DBG's leaders and spokespeoples have their heads up their rears for the warmth!

I don't even log in except for raids anymore. I think...it may be time, regardless of how this pans out.

    Nah.
They actively practice cranial rectal syndrome just to effectively block their ears from hearing and eyes from seeing the truth.

    Welp....got a trolling warning today.

There was a thread (which has been deleted) where the op suggested they stop development until they fix the camera spinning issues.

My response was so unthreatening (all be it sarcastic) that I didn't bother to screen shot it.

    Three sentences:

    "Sorry guys.

The engineer who works on stuff like that has been reassigned to dev BR for eq1.

    That's gonna be awesome."

    That was my troll.

So comforting to see the bi-polar moderation is back on the forums.

I haven't bothered, I don't care enough anymore to play or snipe at them. Only log on now due to my friendships in game.

Same for me on the playing and sniping, except in my case I no longer have any friends that play EQ2.

I have noticed that the most passionate posters on the EQ2 forum have moved on. They realized their feedback was falling on deaf ears and/or that the trigger happy bubble gnome brigade would report any thing they said if it didn't equal glowing praise, so why bother.

Throttled the life out of the forums just like they did the game. I don't really even bother over there anymore, though I may set the stage for an epic flounce the weekend before zero hour.

I gave up on reading the official forums not long after I gave up on the game. Nothing was going to change as long as the same team remained in place. After recent developments, the only change I'm expecting now is the sunset.

For me, the forum login is down, on both IE and Edge... as well as their Twitter... something is broken in the state of Denial, I think...

Maybe I got banned or blocked? Troubleshooting said its at their end, not on my computer.

Forums are back up. And I've just logged in to game to check the broker, and all went well. Maybe I'm just lucky!

Not as much as folks might hope, I imagine.

While CN won't currently be subject to government sanctions, the extremely shady nature of their dealings, as well as those of DBG, has been brought to light.

That will undoubtedly affect operational contracts should other companies show a vote of 'no confidence' and decline to do business with them.

And sanctions, or lack thereof, have not improved the quality or quantity of content. The exact opposite, in fact, as with the upcoming GU, single zone fast travel is touted as a 'feature'.
