Will Daybreak games shut down in 2 months?

Not a bad thing IMHO, the guy was utterly useless when it came to EQ2. He clearly had zero interest in the franchise.

 

The games industry is a harsh one with it here today and gone tomorrow approach to everything. Hopefully those looking for work will find something and there final payment gives them a good buffer.

I am still trying to understand why Sony has a 10% interest in DBG.

 

Same reason TLPs exist. Can't stay away from an abusive, shitty partner.

 

Basically, they had nothing to lose by taking a minority share.

If the company failed, no biggie, they already had the rest of the sale.

If the company did well, then the stood a chance to improve their position financially.

It's also possible to load in other stipulations that may serve their intetests.

Well, on the upside, Kander is still moderating discord and behaving like his usual dickish self.

 

I hope we get some new amazing glasssdoor reviews. But I have a feeling the people fired are too friendly to do that.

 

Even if they do produce an EQ3, I don't think I would ever trust them with my $$$ again. Not after what we have experienced lately, plus the Landmark/EQNext debacles.
