Scout Epic 2.0 Research & Discussion

The key is likely a chest key. In earlier expansions you would earn gear by earning tokens of some sort (Void Shards, Mark Of Manaar, Seal Of Arad) those keys were dropped in the instances and were used to unlock a chest that gave you a few bonus tokens. They were fabled/mythical and never landed in your inventory.

Confirming that the key is for the mark of manar chest in zone. Finally found the key mob and opened the chest, nothing more/nothing less.

 

I went back to Charasis: Maidens Chamber (agnostic).


Anyone else noticed these 4 visions?

So has anyone checked out the T2 or T3 raid zones for starters/clickables or new npc now that they are lvl5+

 

Not everyone raids so why would the devs put the starters for Epic 2.0 in a T2 or T3 raid zone? It doesn't make logical sense. However, I understand that everyone is just throwing ideas out there to try and figure out where to start. I am currently at 70% to level 5 and am keeping on eye on this thread and the official forums thread. So many knowledgeable people out there when it comes to the lore of the game. I really need to start digging into the lore to understand what everyone is talking about!

 

I thought I remember reading somewhere that the epic 2.0's would not be needed until t4 raiding. The original Mythical version of the epic's could only be obtained through raiding. So that is why I speculated that these would need or be part of a raid zone.

 

You need Epic 2.0 for the very first Tier 4 raidmob, since your weapons will break if they aren`t the Epic ones (on 1st hit).

Metadata overlook on the files that have changed since the epic 2.0 hunt went live.

Note that this does not mean the zones were edited for this quests, there's lots of reasons these zones can change... but it might narrow the field.

 

Clicking on the door Therania mentioned I got a message in red text within my npc chat, nothing on screen, I believe it would be classified as narrative but it said this gate is sealed and it was labeled Rogue's den. So perhaps we need to figure out a way to unseal it?

 

Quest Compare - No CharacterIDs Provided[EQ2U]

a new tool by Feldon to compare two toons quests.

to use it, you will need the character ID from the EQ2U -- Character, Guild, Quest, Recipe, and Item Armory for EverQuest II search. it's the long number at the end of the search result URL. Put the ID's in order, and it will come up with a compare page. see this page for the example.

You are aware that this will not provide a benefit in the hunt for the epic quest? Not any KA asc qest is visible in the EQ2U database - so I doubt that any EPIC 2.0 related Quest will show up in a query.
