From my perspective: Even with most disagreeing with me here, I think many of you are noticing her provocations as of late. I've literally ignored her (skipped over her posts) but she feels justified in injecting herself (talk around me or talk behind my back) at random points.

I am going to make this commitment to "let it go' and move on but this place needs a paradigm shift (away from what some people think is appropriate but rather inappropriate "fun").

 

If we all accept it, perhaps the problem lies with you. But then im a bit of an oddball or I wouldn't be playing Adult Game Sociolotron at this time *blush* And I have friends there, so I am having fun... as well as "fun" *blushes again*. Its not for most people, but the world is a big place with lots of different people in it. And if you look around, you can find a place that you can have fun in.

 

As someone who has studied Stoicism (I would recommend Epictetus and Marcus Aurelius), the problem lies with my reaction. I can only control what is in my control.

I'd love to leave this forum with the 'peace' that we can 'agree to disagree' and I won't worry about someone talking behind my back or having "fun" at my expense. (Again, this place may need a paradigm shift for the better).

 

I said my piece and delivered the 'Good day' - which it will take more than grossly inaccurate and spiteful baiting for me to break. Like, maybe an actual intelligent, well reasoned post - I won't hold my breath.

In the meantime, I will continue to post when, and how, I choose, and will not be dictated to by anyone other than Feldon (or an agent on his behalf).

For me it had/has nothing at all to do with patience, or entertaining the stupid Bubble Gnome(s), but rather entertaining myself and hopefully a few other members of our little community.

Also, this particular Bubble Gnome is suspected of being one of a few, or having a few, sock accounts, so any similarities noticed...

It was getting personal that day. Tekka delivered her first shot. Sweatypie brought up mental illness (as a joke). All before my comparison. I should have backed off. It was a nasty chain reaction. We went for the lowest common denomination. We were swimming in the cesspool of personal attacks that day.

 

I never do personal attacks. I don't know any of these people except through their posts. Even in game I might insult someone, but it was their character that got insulted, never the player.

 

It's interesting how different people interact with the world. Some people are barely phased by something that another internalizes and lets fester. I wonder how most of us would feel if we could see the amount of time we've wasted being obsessed with petty things that others would barely remember even had happen?

Anyone defending BoL in my mind is a moron. It's honestly the worst expansion to date with no apologies from the a$$hats that created it. They have lost their way, let's face it.

 

I was thinking, the current team does not seem to understand itemization at all. I don't want to be rude because I understand it's a tiny team and (most of them) are trying their best. But itemization is not only an issue with end game, but it's also a colossal issue on TLE. Gear progression is such a huge component of EverQuest-style MMOs and it's so important to get it right. I wish the team would understand that. Nice art and well designed raids aren't enough to carry a game on their own.

My plan was always to give TLE another try when EoF releases, however looking at the KoS and FD gear being posted on the official forums it's clear the devs have done nothing to address the issues DoF had. At this point I'm just holding out that the raids aren't trivial like DoF's were.

 

I've been of the opinion for a long time that SOE and now DBG don't do anything properly. They cut every corner they can wherever they can. Pretty much every time they've rolled out new stats or something in EQ2 over the years all they seem to have done is patch up the previous content enough to get by and then wait for the next change to the system to patch again. Have they ever properly and fully updated things when they've added or changed something like gear stats? If they did I don't remember it.

Heck, another thing I have repeated over the last few years, the last time I logged in to EQ I could go kill mobs that were in the game when I was in beta and get essentially the same loot.

Some of that is down to the basic style of the game's design. Only some.
