Post #168 does not even put your argument in an accurate context. The relevant section in Post #168 is one sentence: "Example: Coins...." This left you leeway to set the parameters of itemization. Because, as uninformed participants (Feldon, Gillymann, me), you followed up with broad and inaccurate language (not only snippets but key parts of your argument: "only upgrades are from the gamble crate" & "looking for ANYTHING that is an upgrade over the sig line."). I think you were worried about losing the forcefulness and momentum of your arguments with actual caveats and exceptions (i.e. spectrum of heroic loot, raid loot). You almost represented crate loot as the only alternative to solo loot - RNG filling the gaps of heroic and raid loot.

Again, very sad to learn of the truth after your misrepresentations.

 

I am willing to read almost all posts. Only those who are abusive to me get the /ignore. I don't argue much about EQ2 since I don't play it. But I loved the game once. Now I just cry over its fate... and eventual death. But the second we are born, we begin to die. And with strange aeons, even death may die...

Again, you are correcting after the fact. How would I know about your active EQ2Wire thread (I was arguing against Gillymann's conspiracy theory and not you)? Your OF posts had a specific argument with very specific fact patterns. Even the EQ2Wire thread deemphasizes that RNG aspect but RNG is blown out of proportion in the OF thread (i.e. literally RNG being the only pathway to progression).

 

This must be devastating for you, Mermut. How ever will you survive the loss of esteem and credibility.

I've read your argument in the EQ2Wire forum now and it's nowhere near the focus in the OF. You misled us by the scope and language of your argument in the OF. You doubled down on the RNG aspect - literally RNG being the only pathway to progression.

You did a great job spinning facts and wild tales. You earned those misguided votes for sure.

Additionally, as uninformed participants, your last argument (misrepresentations of RNG on Jan 25) holds precedent over your older EQ2Wire argument (generalized to begin with and open to interpretation which was capitalized on in subsequent the OF argument). In hindsight, knowing what I know now, I should've known better (which also explains your admission that the OF scoffed before Jan 24) but that also means your argumentation of Jan 25 remains not in good faith.

I needed to do my research but it also makes you a liar.

No, I didn't have a beef with Mermut at the time. We were ships passing in the distance. I was busy debunking Gillymann's conspiracy theory (the evil masterminds behind Daybreak). Mermut subsequently engaged on Jan 25 with heavy misrepresentations but I was not referred his old thread (which, as I said before, left opening anyways for him to double down on RNG as literally the only pathway). Hindsight is 20/20.

I have not seen Tekka talking behind anyone's back. Nor just about anyone else (perhaps a few who no longer post here have). Most are quite willing to complain or discuss to your face. Some just get tired if the person refuses to comprehend what was posted and give up on them after while. Sometimes is just like talking to a brick wall but the antagonist is usually more stupid and unwilling to read and learn. As for gossip, we don't spread gossip around here. We spread information and usually post where the information came from so we can discuss that and its reliability. Unlike on the OF.

This is how nasty Tekka is. She is NASTY AF. Even if she doesn't perceive it as "talking behind a person's back", it shows a really nasty personality.

Note that I was not aware of this thread at the time (only after an invitation to continue the debate after Roxxlyy locked the OF that I saw how ugly their character and morals were).
