What happened to intellectual honesty?

Recent evidence suggests otherwise.

 

How many times do I have to say this? You have valid points and you can seek redress through official channels. RNG is slightly heavier in BoL than CD but I wonder aloud if it's rookie and/or overzealous implementation of Overseer. (I'm sure you enjoyed CD balance). Otherwise, what more do you expect of me? Kiss your ring?

On the other hand, several players have told me that you characterizations were not correct (no point to log in after sig line). Sig line does not "finish out" your gear - you can get upgrades in solos and heroics. Another player [Drona] says you can obtain new VIII red runes (witness, glory, juxtaposition, champion) as a reward if you flawless the new raid zone. The devs are listening to the players.

I am responding to the culture of "talking behind people's backs" on the EQ2Wire forums. It's super nasty.

 

I don't get infuriated, or even upset, at any of these weirdos, but it is fun to poke at them until they lose their damn minds.

It's a strange phenomena that happens in both real and e-space. Person asserts A Thing that is demonstrably false. It is demonstrated to Person to be false.

But Person continues to assert A Thing as if doing so a number of times (OVER 9000!) will somehow make it true.

Have some crackers and grape juice, it'll make you feel better!

You have said many dishonest, manipulative, disingenuous, provocative things here over the last several days. You have in turn either refused to acknowledge when people call you out or question you on your comments. Or, you employ dishonest, manipulative, disingenuous, provocative rhetoric to avoid being accountable and/or steer the conversation in a different direction.

You are not very bright. You are not very good at this.

To be honest, many of the people who post here have a geniunely good nature so they can be easy pickings.

And, again, I am convinced you (almost) know what you're doing.

I do not believe you are here to defend a game or its community so much a stroke your ego by both feeling like you're getting one up on people while also feeling protected in your tactics by telling yourself you're doing it for a good cause.

If you have to lie to defend your position either you and/or your position is faulty.

We can debate the merits of EQ2 and the people running it all day long.

You, however, are a liar regardless of that discussion.

• RNG is attributable to rookie implementation of Overseer. (No corollary for Chaos Descending).
• I've been told solo and heroic drops can upgrade sig line rewards. (I won't say Mermut is a liar here).
  
• Devs are allowing players to obtain red VIII runes through flawless raid. Devs are listening to players.

• Foreign and domestic governments have not passed legislation to regulate loot boxes.
• I supply page hits. (Damn capitalism).

What questions? Your trolling questions? Can I expect any good when you've bold-faced lied to everyone (i.e. "no upgrades after sig line, no reason to log in after sig line")? I've answered the merits of your arguments but you've already called me a troll.

Players have advised me that sig line rewards covers 2-5 slots maximum. Upgrades are obtainable through heroics.

 

While Tekka talking behind people's backs is offensive, Mermut gives straight up bad information (no upgrades after sig line: DEBUNKED).

Ya'll cannot feed Gillymann, Tekka, Feldon, and me bad information. Eveyone is basing their arguments around third party information. I mean everyone went crazy when Mermut said, "No reason to log in after sig line" and "No upgrades after sig line." He literally fooled everyone.

 

Here's my actual comment about gear:

Nowhere did I say that there were no upgrades past the sig line. I said by the time you have enough gear to do heroics, (ie you've finished the sig line and done the overland achievements for various 165 resolve jewelry) there are almost no upgrades in the heroic zones.


The person who claims I'm reasonable, goes on to call me a troll and falsely accuse me of lying when I say that all I want is straight answers to direct questions.

Those are the facts. I'll let them speak for themselves.

Either, you were using disingenuous hyperbole, trying to obsfucate the realities of the game (itemization), and/or lying outright. Sadly, Feldon and Gillymann based alot of their arguments on your information.

Unbiased, objective players have told me that there are adequate upgrades from the heroics and that red VIII runes are rewarded from flawless raids. You thought I wouldn't do my research, huh?

 

There once you do the sig line, none of the gear in the solos are upgrades.
You can get some 165 pieces doing overland achievments.
Once you have enough potency to be effective in heroics, the chance of getting anything that is an upgrade in heroics is small.
The super rare items (masters, useful 2 use recipes, etc are the same as always.. super, super rare RNG)

I never, ever claimed that raid gear wasn't an upgrade. Red adorns from flawless raids are, effectively, raid content.
Raid content is hardly something individuals can work towards.

Log in, poke overseers, see if there are any groups going, log off (either after running a few zones or not finding any).
Show up for raids, log off.

There are no ugrades to work towards.
Nothing to save currency for. All gear on the status and PQ merchants are worse or the same as sig line gear.
No harvesting to make gear to crush for adorning mats, infuser bits or weapon essences.

You failed to answer on the official forums and I have no expectation you'll answer here.
Comments you've made here suggest that you either aren't playing EQ2 at all, or at least aren't playing the current expansion. I concede this would make it hard for you to find an example. It would also suggest that you are arguing awfully strenuously that people's in game experience is 'wrong' without any first had experience of your own to justify that belief.

I expect you'll either continue attacking or move the goal posts again, but perhaps you'll shock us all.

Again, the context here was already including the 165 gear from solo achievements. I was not as precise I would have been if this hadn't been deep into an ongoing thread.

 

I am celebrating Kansas City victory so I won't read your posts in full till tomorrow/upcoming days.

I will say that it is convenient of you to put everything in context after the fact. It's like a politician spewing misinformation (lies) on the debate stage for votes then apologizing for the inaccuracies after the election. Everyone was hinging their arguments on the key but suspect language that I highlighted. The damage is done and you've lost a lot of credibility in my eyes.

 

All the posts prior to the ones you quoted snippets from (which, as noted were #168 and beyond) are after the fact context.. gotcha.
