Last year I added the ability for players to help us crowdsource information about Quests which aren't in Census. If you see a quest that I don't recognize, there will be a button saying "Help us with this Quest" and an ID number. When you click on this, a form appears on the right where you can fill in the Quest Name, Category, and Level, and below that appears the quest steps you're currently working on from your Active Quest Journal. It's important that you don't add details for a quest unless you are 100% certain that the quest matches the one in your journal. Once we get confirmation from 2 different players, we can add that quest to EQ2U!

To allow the community to proactively add the expansion's quests to EQ2U, I have added a streamlined method for you to share your Active Quest Journal with us. If you navigate to your Active Quest Journal on EQ2U, you will notice a new button called "Contribute My Quest Journal". At the bottom of that page is a step-by-step tutorial that explains how you can use the above two features to help us support quests on EQ2U.

    What must I do?

    1. After you pickup each quest, /camp to yourself and then reload the "Contribute My Quest Journal" page in your browser.
    2. Reload your Active Quest Journal on EQ2U.
    3. Fill in the Quest Name, Category, Level, and Tier and hit Submit.
    4. Continue playing EQ2, /camping to yourself once you have picked up or advanced quests and reload the "Contribute My Quest Journal" page again.

EverQuest II's 21st expansion "Scars of Destruction" had a rocky start for Census and specifically EQ2U users. Exports were sporadically working and then seemed to stop altogether. Then the EQ2 Census service itself went down on Sunday and was not restored until yesterday afternoon.

After some productive conversations with MangoBean at Daybreak Ops, and testing by players, specifically Kaladz, I have an update. First, one of the two EQ2 Census database servers was having problems and needed to be rebooted. Second, the character export server was not running. Now that these issues have been corrected, characters are once again exporting to Census and thus available to sites like EQ2U and Dragon's Armory. However there is still a problem.

If you use the new Petamorph Key Ring feature, your character will be unable to be exported to Census and thus EQ2U. For now, I'd recommend avoiding using the feature until a patch can be prepared to either ignore the data or correctly export it instead of the entire export failing.

If you already used the Petamorph Key Ring, desperately want to be able to view your character on EQ2U, and you are willing to take drastic action, you can type this command which will irrevocably destroy a stored petamorph wand:

    /delete_keyring_item 0 1234567890

where 1234567890 is the itemID for the petamorph wand.

Once you delete all stored petamorph wands, your character will once again export to EQ2U.

WARNING: DO NOT DO THIS PROCEDURE unless you have a method to reacquire all of the petamorph wands through gameplay as this process DELETES them.
