    There will be a change to data within the server status data happening tomorrow morning.

    Consider the following URL: census.daybreakgames.com/yaml/status/eq2

    You will find that the status for "The Bazaar" and "Vox" are out of date (they have been decommissioned).

    <span style="font-family: Times; font-size: medium;">
    Code:
     The Bazaar: {age: '379:49:11', status: down} Vox: {age: '427:49:25', status: down}
    These servers will be removed.

    This thread will be made "sticky" so that you can get notified for future changes to the server status data.

    There are still characters listed as being on those servers.  Are they going to be moved, or are they only moved when they first log in?  Or are they dead and should be ignored?

    This change only removes the servers as being available for the reporting of status.  Whether they are still accessible is up to the game team and their instructions to our operations group.

    I've removed "Vox" and "The Bazaar" from the status feed.  I've also removed "Beta" for now since it is not active.  We can add it back when it is appropriate.

    I also removed the entries from the status feed for Star Wars Galaxies.

    A moment of silence is observed in due respect.

    What does "age" mean exactly?  Many servers are listed with an age of 00:01:33 for example, which seems...  odd

    That's how long ago the REST API got updated information from the actual server.  So in your example, it last got the status information one minute thirty three seconds ago.

    I'm constantly amazed though at the ability of the Storms server to have negative numbers for age indicating that there is some sort of communication from the future going on.  I wonder if anyone on the Storms server would be willing to send me the winning lottery numbers.  Hmm.  :)

    I've been pointing that out to our ops folks for a while now.  The clock on that server keeps slippin', slippin', slippin' into the future (apologies to Steve Miller fans).

    Our code used to see this and report the server as being down.  If we don't get a report for a while, we make this assumption.  A negative time looks like a long time in the future.  We explicitly handle this, but we can't fix the age (not properly anyway).

    That's ok Dan.  We'll just wait patiently until you come back and say "Oh, oh, there's a solution".  <img src="/station/images/smilies/ed515dbff23a0ee3241dcc0a601c9ed6.gif" border="0" />
