[PS2] Display Weapon / Vehicles

I am wondering if its available yet to display weapon images via weapon ID and the same for Vehicles?  

ALSO 

do the devs post somewhere on whats looming in the future for the API like upcoming updates etc?

Wouldn't be that hard to derive the URL from a weapon record.

I am trying to get the weapon ID "1" which is magcutter a knife using https://census.daybreakgames.com/img/ps2/icon/1/item but that link displays bullets image <img src="/smilies/1cfd6e2a9a2c0cf8e74b49b35e2e46c7.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

but on the PS2 Players https://census.daybreakgames.com/s:soe/img/ps2-beta/icon/7957/item displays to the phoenix does the number "7957" reference ID in the API? or what is that number referenced ?

You'll want to use the icon_id field...  Basically, you'll have to lookup each item from the item collection.
