character location [HELP]

have anyone found how to find where online character is located?

(! I'm not looking for http://ps2maps.com/blog/live-enemy-locations !)

im looking for facility/hex in which player is

my goal is to make is to make an active friends/enemies list showing when they are in same loaction as you are.

 

I don't think that level of data is available through the API.

I wanted to be able to add how many forces from each empire are in each territory on my map (just like it does in game), but I haven't been able to find that data either.

 

Sorry, we do not surface character locations. The reasoning is that surfacing x,y,z coords would allow for cheating.

 

This is all just speculation on my part, but I suspect that even giving out the facility that a specific player is at would be too easily abuse-able for cheaters/greifers (for example, if there are only a few people in that facility).

Showing the number of players from each faction currently in each territory in the map data, on the other hand, I don't think would be a problem, and is something I would be interested in as well. It'd be similar to the in-game map that lists an estimate of how many enemy/friendly troops are present.

Can i make a request to add this functionality?
