    After the producer's letter was published people started to ask for more specific information, after all the letter was vague.

    Dreamwever said on Discord that they intented to release more information prior to Beta /Pre-Order. I would have expected more information last week.

    So was this because of Coivid19/Working from Home, countless hours watching of the election, or because some stuff isn't ready for Beta yet.
    Revamped AA's and new AA Tree anyone.

    I hope he accepts the results too.

    Nah, he's always on the EQ1 forums trying to find out as much as possible about things. He also likes to get posts deleted due to political comments. That being said, he does like to troll the EQ2 people.

    Oh look, it seems Benito got yet another thread locked. I'm making the assumption it was him based on other people's posts, since I've had him on ignore for many months now.

    Yes it was Benito and it was his usual nonsense. It's so hard to follow his logic; it's like he arguing with himself. But, among other points he is making:
    (1) it is industry standard to have to pay for beta access [it's not];
    (2) Game Updates are equivalent to other games' 'DLC' [they're not], and since Darkpaw Games doesn't charge for Game Updates they are actually being very generous;
    (3) Darkpaw Games hasn't shared anything with us because they're probably 'still deciding' which zones will be released at launch and which will be released as game updates [God I hope not but with this crew nothing would surprise me];
    (4) The community should continue to be patient because he's sure that more is coming [a reply he has posted several times for several issues dating back to the barebones release of BoL]; and
    (5) Since we griefers [i.e. those of us who began playing EQ2 at launch] do nothing but complain, Darkpaw Games has understandably limited their marketing of the new expansion.

    Strangely, his post wasn't even close to being the worst of the day. That award went to the person complaining about how the "socialists toppled the USA via mail box," but who claims to be living off of Social Security. Irony much?

    It probably won't last for long, but here it is: How very very Cheap! | EverQuest 2 Forums

    Beta and pre-order release tomorrow (allegedly) and still ZERO information about pre-order...
    It's almost like they DON'T want people to buy it...

    We talked about that in the coffee house. I knew she said she was on SSI. These projecting ass mfers. She's so socialist she even plays for free in Norrath.

    I really don't care where someone is on the political spectrum, but don't be a hypocrite. Call for defunding the police, but then complain that the police didn't stop crime in your neighborhood? No. Complain about the evils of socialism, but then have that be your main source of income? No. Call yourself a supporter of democracy, but then claim the election was stolen when it doesn't go your way? No.

    So the AA revamp is posted.

    Looks like barely anything got any significant change. Most of it is now just "Adds X fervor to Y".

    Dreamweaver: "Guys, we promised an AA revamp this expac. What do we do?"
    Caith: "Don't worry, I got this"
    Dreamweaver: "You're going to make it exciting right?"
    Caith: "Yeah, everybody loves fervor multipliers!"

    LoL.. as expected.. instead of making the Ranger CA's stronger, as in base casting time and Reuser time, they all get fervor increases...

    Rumor has it... Rangers finally get some utility...You need a Ranger for Balanced synergy.....

    Yes, wtf does "Adds X fervor to Y" actually mean? I've pretty much been ignoring fervor as it only seems to apply at levels beyond which I play.

    I just checked my warden list which is the only class I seriously play. We seem to have lost any mitigation bonuses that we used to get from various buffs. Nature Blade and Infusion are completely awol and I use those constantly. First thing I do on that tree is max Nature Blade then go down the old int line to get Infusion up and running.

    As for enhance roots , snare and willow wisp? Snare has never been on my hot bar in 16 years, root only gets used for collecting shinies when an annoying mob won't leave me alone long enough and as a mostly solo player lowering threat priority is pretty useless. Can't remember the last time I cast individual cures either and I only have them specced on the ex-raiding toon which I was about to de-spec through lack of use.

    Mermut? What's your take on it?

    They missed a big oppurtunity to make the crap spells nobody uses, worth something.

    If every warden now wanted Ancient level Willowwisp, they'd make bank from spell research sales.

    Is the revamp posted online anywhere? I'm curious to see the wizard revamps.

    Edit - whoops, they are posted in the official forums.

    Edit 2 - So for the wizard tree, basically they are just changing damage boosts to fervor. Recall that when these AA trees first went live it was a simpler time and 'increasing base damage by x' would actually increase base damage. Then potency went the way of Zimbabwean currency and entered hyperinflation so those tiny little potency boosts no longer mattered. All they are doing is changing it over to fervor. So yes it will make small difference but I would hardly call this a revamp.

    The sorceror tree seems more interesting. At the least, these abilities will make more of an impact then what they used to.

    Ok, I think I must be losing it. Can anybody tell me wtf is a Shaper?
    https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq2/index.php?threads/aa-revamp-shaper.596669/

    Edit: Ok, found the sub-class tree list which seems to have all the missing nukes. Nature Blade has lost Haste (the main reason I use it) for Flurry. Is flurry on a druid any use?

    And of course all the charm/calms are still there. I stick one point in each for RP purposes ...

    And I still don't know what subclass Shaper covers :(

    This just looks like power creep for no reason. This is not what I was expecting when they said they were doing an AA revamp...
