New Launcher

Is it just me or is the new launcher reaaaaaaaally uuuuuugly?

IMO... Somewhat difficult to read, borderless now (very original), curved corners (outdated? or back in?), doesn't seem to be any different other than an appearance change. "This is done by our platform team, not the EQ2 team. We don't control it. No EQ2 dev time was wasted on it. Blah blah..."

Change for change's sake. Rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. And so on...

 

Yeah, that thing is ugly - it looks cheaply thrown together.

I also noticed Mermut is sitting on enough dbc to purchase 9 loot boxes, which is of course, awesome.

 

It looks like basically the same thing with a different background and color.

Like... changing your desktop image.

 

bah! forgot to black that out. Also, I don't do pay to win

 

They removed the border and rearranged that various bits (like character select)

 

It's been changing over the course of the last 3-4 weeks. Seems they are tweaking it every so often.
First the Darkpaw logo was on the top left, then it wen to the bottom with the DB logo.

 

It stopped being red, which suits me fine.

 

Is it less buggy, that's the real question...

 

I'm curious about what's behind the "See what's changed" link. Not curious enough to click though.

 

It's not a link, it's just text in the splash screen.

 

That's been there a while and it's always baffled me. What's changed since when? 'Cos the 'when' is entirely subjective to the player wanting to know, surely? I mean, if you haven't logged in since the original Kunark it's going to be a very long list!

And no, I've never been curious enough to follow through either
